Frisco Independent School District | Chromebook Technology Support | 2019-2021
During my time here, I played a key role in one of the district’s largest technology initiatives. When COVID-19 forced schools to close in 2020, our team rapidly deployed thousands of Chromebooks to ensure students could continue learning remotely. Working as one of six technicians supporting 46,000 district devices, I:
- Led repair and maintenance operations for the Chromebook fleet, troubleshooting both hardware and software issues to minimize downtime for students and teachers
- Managed comprehensive device inventory tracking and repair workflows, ensuring accurate records of device status, repairs, and redistribution across the district
- Provided technical support for end-users (students, teachers, staff) on device setup, connectivity, and basic troubleshooting
- Assisted in the logistics of device distribution during the emergency transition to remote learning
The scale of this project—supporting 46,000 devices with a small technical team during an unprecedented situation—demonstrates my ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality service.
